Munay Ki Rites - Walking the Medicine Wheel

The Munay-Ki Rites of Passage are a living path to ayni (right relationship) and an update for your luminous energy field. These rites call forth the Incan attributes of Munay (love), Yankay (service) and Yachay (wisdom), and are designed to awaken your innate gifts, strengthen your protections, and align you with a soul-level destiny of service and dreaming a new world into being.

This work is not theory for me — I’ve walked it. These ceremonies have been catalytic: from standing on sacred land and feeling my connection to the planet deepen, to the intimate ceremonial experiences that reshaped how I carry myself in relationships and in service. I’ve also been initiated through fire ceremonies that helped me step into my power and remember how to hold space with steady, embodied compassion. Because I’ve lived these rites — the medicine, the energetic activations, the lineage downloads — I teach from that place of direct transmission. I know how these initiations can clear inherited patterns, open the heart, and anchor a new luminous field.

As we move through the rites, we will also travel the path of the medicine wheel, aligning our inner growth with the turning of the seasons. Each direction carries its own archetypal energy and teachings, and together they form a complete map for transformation:

South – Serpent: We learn to shed the past the way Serpent sheds her skin. Here we step into spring energy — a time of renewal, release, and planting the seeds of what we wish to grow.

West – Jaguar: In the fullness of summer, we face our fears and learn to walk with courage. Jaguar teaches us how to die to what no longer serves, and to reclaim our power.

North – Hummingbird: With autumn comes gratitude and sweetness. Hummingbird shows us how to drink deeply from the nectar of life and to remember the support of our ancestors as we journey toward joy.

East – Eagle/Condor: In the stillness of winter, we learn to see from a higher perspective. Eagle and Condor carry us into vision, helping us dream the world into being with clarity and wisdom. 

This spiral journey around the wheel is not linear — it’s alive. Each season and each archetype invites you to embody new ways of living in ayni, with yourself, with the Earth, and with Spirit.

Through these rites you will:

• And finally, accept your destiny as a dreamer of a new world (Creator Rite).

Alongside the 10 Munay-Ki rites we’ll weave:

• Fire ceremonies
• La limpia ceremony
• Plant-spirit teachings 
• Immersive nature trips — camping, river floats and mini-retreats to practice embodiment in the wild (cost will be divided amongst the group)
• Group ritual, circle work, and some possible 1:1 sessions as needed

 Animal Reiki is included as a bonus offering within the Shamanic Rites Mentorship because true shamanic practice is rooted in relationship—with the Earth, the unseen realms, and the animal beings who walk beside us as teachers and allies.

This lineage offers a gentle, ethical way to deepen communication, presence, and trust with animals—both physical and spiritual. It supports the foundational skills of the shamanic path: listening beyond words, honoring consent, holding grounded space, and allowing healing to unfold naturally rather than through force or will.

Animal Reiki is offered as a bonus—not as a requirement—because while not every participant is called to work professionally with animals, every participant benefits from learning how to be in right relationship with them. Whether working with your own animals, animals in your community, or the animal guides encountered through journeying and ceremony, this practice enhances awareness, humility, and embodied leadership.

Including Animal Reiki also reinforces a core teaching of this mentorship: animals are not here for us—they are here with us. Learning to engage them with respect, sovereignty, and reverence naturally strengthens one’s ability to walk the shamanic path with integrity.
